Restoring Quality of Life Ralph Cohen
Ralph Cohen’s pain was nagging and constant. It felt like heartburn, and it hurt to breathe. His doctor sent him to the Emergency Department at Sunnybrook where he was admitted and in his words, “received the best care anyone could ask for.” Ralph was taken for an angiogram and within 15 minutes, they found the problem. Two of his arteries were partially blocked, and to his surprise, the doctor cleared the blockages right away.
A week later, Ralph and his wife were out walking their dogs—walks where Ralph used to fall behind and not push himself too hard for fear of debilitating chest pain. But now, he feels like a 25-year-old and he owes it all to the doctors at Sunnybrook. “They restored my quality of life. They probably saved my life.
