Enjoying Retirement Leonard Thomas Last November, Leonard Thomas woke up with a strange feeling of numbness in his right leg. The numbness quickly turned into excruciating pain leaving Leonard unable to walk. He and his wife knew this could be serious – Leonard’s family has a history of heart disease, and he had recently been discharged from Sunnybrook after having undergone cardiovascular surgery.

New Idea for Wedding Favours Laura Cassiani and Jason Salisny In July 2006, newlyweds Laura Cassiani and Jason Salisny incorporated many of the traditional elements to their outdoor summer wedding. However, they took a non-traditional approach when deciding on the ideal “wedding favours” for their guests.

Giving In Numbers No matter where you are at Sunnybrook, you can always recognize a member of the Sunnybrook Volunteer Association (SVA) by their cobalt blue jacket or vest. Every year, more than 700 volunteers, ranging from high school students to retirees, spend more than 117,000 volunteer hours providing 60 services to our patients, residents and visitors.
