Holland Musculoskeletal Program It Matters Most When You Need to Keep Moving Building on our achievements over the last 50 years and in response to urgent calls for action in what the World Health Organization has called the “Bone and Joint Decade”, the Holland Orthopaedic & Arthritic Centre is poised to lead the way in orthopaedic and arthritic care, education and research. We are recognized internationally for expertise in orthopaedic trauma, joint replacement, arthritis management and the treatment of the spread of cancer to bone. We are transforming health care with new surgical procedures, redefined care and rehabilitation processes, and new initiatives in the field of orthopaedic health. As Ontario’s Centre of Excellence for Hips and Knees, the Holland Musculoskeletal Program sees more than 100,000 ambulatory care visits, with an annual volume of 6,000 elective orthopaedic surgical cases. We perform more hip and knee joint replacement surgeries than any other centre in Canada, including over 2,000 hip and knee implants. The Holland Musculoskeletal Program strives to reduce the burden of musculoskeletal illness through its research and clinical practice. Since 1955, we have provided educational opportunities to some of the country’s best physicians, researchers, nurses and other health care professionals.
